Week of August 31, 2026 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Finish strong. That's what my coaches used to say in high school. I love that. One last summer weekend (unofficially, I know) to celebrate the hot season of 2026 around here. And as you all know, I never give up the chance to celebrate an annual event. You never get it back. This is the only Labor Day weekend we will have this year. Don't let it slip by you. Savor it.

Speaking of savoring things (you like how I did that?), we are gonna play with the heavy hitters in honor of it. First up is gorgeous Greenland turbot from Newfoundland. The more northern cousin of King halibut, it is small, yes. But, oh, the texture and flavor. Just melts in your mouth. Such good stuff..

Staying in the northern waters, we have more fresh claw and knuckle lobster meat from Nova Scotia! I think you could actually measure how good this summer was by the number of lobster rolls you've had. Think about it...

Cod cheeks from Iceland are a fun little thing to pan fry with a little dredge and put out for people to munch on..

Boston mackerel fillets to pan sear or roast in the oven or grill up..

Faroe Island salmon and Hokkaido scallops to poke bowl up or make a crudo. Yes, they are sushi grade..

Branzini, rainbow trout butterflied, Portuguese sardines, shrimp, crab meat...hamachi loins to slice up for a large group...collars for the grill...so many fun things to play with!!

Smoked albacore tuna spread is back in the mix!! Great stuff for your bagels but also terrific on a cracker for a little apero.

Also, on the smoked fish front, a new item to try out. Whole smoked whiting! Not as fatty or oily as lake fish, this salt water fish from North Carolina is dynamite smoked. You get three fish totalling appoximately a pound. Fun to pick at and eat. The meat falls right off the bone...Have at it!

Tons of stuff, really. Everything to make your dreams come true...

We have Littleneck clams this week. Great thing to add to Settantatre Pasta Co fresh spinach pasta. Best cheap meal ever!!.Also, Beach Plums are the oysters this week from Massachusetts. Nice and big...good stuff..and briny..

So have at it!!!

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
