Week of May 12, 2025 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form

Hello everybody!!

It's been a while since we've had a full week of clouds and light rain. Maybe since last Spring. It's easy for us to complain. But the trees love it. The rivers love it. The flowers love it. They're not complaining about it....And all that pollen getting washed away into the Delaware River? I'm not complaining either....

Anyway, nothing to complain about this week as far as fish goes! Yellowfin tuna, baby!!!  These tunas are coming from some awesome boats in Australia that usually only service Los Angeles and San Diego. We got a link them and totally jumped all over it. Pretty exciting to get some nice Pacific tunas! Gorgeous, sushi grade tuna for poke bowls or tartares! i love that people have been embracing the poke thing at home whether it is with tuna or our sushi grade salmon or sushi grade scallops. Or all three at the same time for some. What a satisfying way to eat...And grab our ponzu sauce to make your life even easier...

Also from the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii to be exact, we have wahooooooo!!! What is terrific meaty fish that also has enough fat to melt in your mouth! Also known as Ono in the Islands, this fish is one of my favorites for the grill as well as for fish tacos. Better than Mahi, in my book...

And back by popular demand, cod cheeks are back! We've been pinching more cheeks over here than a doting grandmother..Skate cheeks, halibut cheeks..But the cod cheeks are generally pleasing to most. Mild in flavor like cod, texture like scallops and holds its shape so great in a fish soup or stew...or simple dredge and pan fry for some delish nuggets!!

We have more Black Cod fillets as per usual anymore. Who's gotten sick of it yet? Not many from what I can tell. We have more branzini butterflied and whole daurades. More wild Argentine Red head on shrimp. Wow are those good. And big. And delish. More wild rock shrimp. More South African lobster tails..

And for specials this week, we have frozen Tomato Pies from the best in the biz. Our very own local company, Pizza Freak Co. Baking instructions are on the package. Top it off with anything you like too! Also we got a shot of wagyu ground beef back in! Stony Run moved production from Pennsylvania to Maryland recently so they are slowly getting back into the groove. Good stuff..

PEI mussels are the shellfish of the week. And with organic fresh spaghetti from Settantatre Pasta Co? Best cheap meal ever! Island Pearls from PEI are the oysters this week. Nice and plump.

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
