Week of March 23, 2026 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form
Hello everybody!!
Lots of great stuff this week! I can definitely feel the weather breaking toward the possibility of different fish! I am super excited about the next couple of months and what the sea will gift us!
For those celebrating Passover, we have our famous frozen gefilte fish logs from Raskins in Brooklyn! Super easy to bake in your oven before the holiday and slice up for your Seder. It's been one of the most popular things for the holiday!
Also, a few of you have asked for whole sides of salmon for next week so what we are doing this week is offering up blast frozen whole sides of salmon along with fresh whole sides. That way, you don't have to worry about freezing it yourself.
For fresh fish this week, we have Greenland turbot fillets from Newfoundland! The northernmost cousin of halibut, this fish is considered one of the most elegant fish out there, espeicially in Europe. It's one of ours, though, and it's nice to have it around. Silky, melt in your mouth greatness...
And since we are into the Canadian thing, let's do more fresh claw and knuckle lobster meat! obviously a great thing for lobster rolls but so good with pasta, risotto or with some lobster ravioli. Yup, it's back in the mix!
Hamachi loin is back, as well! As is our ridiculously good wagyu ground beef! Add to that more salt cured anchovies for your puttanescas and Caesar Salads...And smoked mackerel fillets are back too!
And an additional cured item that we tried at the Seafood Show last week and all loved, we have marinated anchovies (boquerones) stuffed with olives on toothpicks all ready to go! A great little tapas, for sure. A great skewer to add to a martini for a really amazing flavor!!!
Also in is a nice shot of whole red mullets from Europe. Also known as Rouget in France and Barbouni in Greece, these little fish are very flavorful and tasty!
We have more cod cheeks and Boston mackerel fillets! We have butterflied branzini and rainbow trout. Black cod fillets as well as Chilean seabass.
Tons of stuff, really. Everything to make your dreams come true...
We have littleneck clams this week. Great thing to add to Settantatre Pasta Co fresh spinach linguini. Best cheap meal ever!!.Also, Duxbury Selects are the oysters this week from Massachussetts..... A bigger oyster than we usually get averaging around 3.5 inches wide..good stuff..
So have at it!!!
See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...
And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..
I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
