Week of November 10, 2025 - Fairmount/444 N 4th Order Form
Hello everybody!!
Well, you have this week and next week to stock up for Thanksgiving. We will be closed the week of Thanksgiving as we do every year. Needed break. We are sick of each other over here.....kidding. We love each other. A break when everyone else is also breaking is just the civilized thing to do...
Okay, let's roll into it! This week, we have gorgeous fresh albacore tuna from Hawaii! Tombo, as it is called there. If I was a tuna, I would like to be called Tombo too. The nice thing about this variety of tuna is that, smaller as it is, it has a higher fat content compared to yellowfin or Ahi tuna. So, it is creamier, more flavorful and more versatile when it comes to cooking it. Great for poke bowls, great to quickly sear, great in a saucy dish such as a nice puttanesca or Provencal, great to poach in oil.
We have fresh Venezuelan Jumbo lump crab meat this week! Now, it is fresh so the shelf life is not a year in the fridge like the crab meat that comes in a can. You have a week to 10 days but like anything fresh, the sooner the better, yeah? One thing to think about if you wanted to freeze. It can freeze but can change the texture a tad. You can also make crab cakes and freeze those (before you cook them) and the binding will protect the crab meat. There.
Plus some blue crab cocktail fingers perfect for a seafood tower for the holidays...
We will have more Chilean seabass fillets this week as well as Black Cod fillets. Quite the flex to drop one of those on your Thanksgiving table..
We have fresh Faroe Island salmon back this week! Sushi grade and nothing better than this stuff. Plus, fresh Hokkaido scallops which are also sushi grade. By the way, the frozen version of both are blast frozen by us in individual portions before they are vac packed so you can remove one or two at a time if you want.
We have Boston mackerel fillets, whole Portuguese sardines, branzini butterflied (which went down in price, btw) as well as Rainbow trout butterflied. We have some whole branzini scaled and gutted and a ton of other stuff including hamachi loin and kama, etc...
For special items, we have another nice shot of kippered (hot smoked) Faroe Island salmon! A lot of you really love this and I don't blame you. So moist and tasty.
We have fish meatballs in classic pesto cream sauce coming your way! This time more sauce since many of you prefer to toss it into a pasta instead of just having it as an app. We hear ya.
Oh, and another shot of that wonderful lettuce from Sussex Fresh. Summer Crisp this time. They look absolutely beautiful! Such a nice flavor and texture...
And lastly, we have a few Pizza Freak Co frozen pizzas made especially and exclusively for us! White pies, baby! With a garlicky, alfredo style sauce and cheeses, you can eat it on its own or top with shrimp or clams to a delish app. The pie measures 9 x 13 and is pretty substantial. Enough for 2-4 people...
So have at it!!!
PEI mussels are the shellfish of the week. And with organic fresh spinach linguini from Settantatre Pasta Co? Best cheap meal ever! Love Shucks are the oysters this week from Maine . Nice and plump.
See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...
And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..
I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
