Week of April 20, 2026 - Small World Seafood Update

Hello everybody!!

Well, back to normal April weather. Ahhh...it was all just a dream...Or a gift, the wayI see it. But let's not get ahead of ourselves in the seasons. It would be nice to have a nice Spring before we get into the hot summer, yeah?

Last week was fun getting back into tuna cycle. Hopefully, we'll see it more often now. This week, we have another heavy hitter making it's first appearance of 2026...the mighty halibut!!!

Yes, indeed, this will be halibut week which is super exciting! The season opened up in Nova Scotia and most boats went out to take advantage. The good thing is there is a lot of fish hitting the markets. The great thing for us is that the price is much lower than you'll typically see so we get peak halibut quality for the lowest price!!! Win, win! And we love winning..especially with halibut!!!

As for other things to feature this week, I am waiting on confirmation for another thing or two so I don't want to overpromise and under deliver. So Look out Wednesday on the order form for another goodie or two. I am hopeful, though..

We also have more Faroe Island salmon coming this week. Hopefully, the nicer weather will make it more consistent in coming to us. This salmon is also sushi grade so wonderful to add to your poke party! You could also add Hokkaido scallops to the mix too! Yup. They are sushi grade as well! I love to see pics you guys send of your poke bowls at home. Honestly, they look better than any bowl you can buy in a resto and at a fraction of the cost. Pretty amazing!!

We have branzini butterflied and whole, rainbow trouts, Chilean seabass fillets, Black cod fillets..A kazillion things to have fun with, really...

And as always, I am still keeping my eyes peeled for something else coming our way. You never know..There are a few possibilities still to reveal themselves....

You see how much fun we can have? I feel it too...

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week....Pair with Settentatre Pasta Co's organic fresh spinach linguini for cheapest meal ever!!  Not sure about oysters yet ... We have labneh and smoked fish..So many good things..

Plenty of crab meat, shrimp, etc....

I know, I know..Lots of words...

Anyway, as usual, I have to thank all of you guys for being in our lives. What an incredible community we live in...
