Week of August 11, 2025 - Fit/Ritt/Wash Sq Order Form

Hello everybody!!

I love it when there is a lot of variety and choices in given week. There is a certain excitement you get at having to make a decision on what to get when there are so many good options. Kind at looking at a resto menu with so many good things. You want to get something you will really like. But you also don't want to regret not getting something else...Ahhhhhh...I love that kind of stuff...

Anyway, let's get started with fresh, local, sushi grade albacore tuna from Maine! Beautifully colored from ruby to cream, this is one tasty tuna. It is a smaller tuna but it is a fattier one, too. Ergo, flavor. Ergo, good for canned tuna. Buuuut, it is wonderful for a poke bowl, to sesame crust and eat raw. Or, braise it in a sauce or curry for one dynamite meal!

Next up is a definite taste of summer. Fresh Venezuelan Jumbo lump crab meat!!! Same blue crab as we have around here and super tasty. Just know that you have a week to 10 days to eat it. It is fresh, not pasteurized. In my opinion, you don't want to wait a week, yeah? It's not going to ripen like an avocado or banana. Know what I mean?

And across the pond, summer in some parts means fresh whole sardines!! We got some! We cleaned them and blast frozen them. Not for everybody but for those who love it, you'll love it...

Black Cod is back!!! Breathe, people...Also originally known as sablefish, this is the fish made famous by Nobu and on the menu in just about every Japanese resto in America. You can replicate thaat at home even better. Believe me. That the side, marinate in our miso glaze for 48 hours (yup, 48 hours), bake at 450F for 10 minutes, broil for 5 and voila!!! Impress your friends or as the younguns say...Flex!

More skate cheeks this week! Gorgeous little gems that are so tasty just dredged and pan fried or in a fish stew. My lord...

We have branzini butterflied as well as whole. We have sushi grade rock shrimp and head on Argentine reds. We have lobster tails. We have Faroe Island salmon and Hokkaido scallops...

For specials of the week, we have smoked albacore tuna spread! A mix of albacore tuna, halibut and mackerel, this is one fine tasting spread for a bagel. I like it on a slice of toasted German bread with a couple of marinated anchovies. So good! or make a tuna melt with this stuff. Ridick.

Plus, we are now making whitefish salad ourselves. No more all over the map variation with it. And guess what? It tastes so much better in our humble opinion..

Also, we have some smoked lamb merguez in lamb casing from El Camino! I gotta say that Owen's smoking gets better and better. The flavors, the textures. Try this stuff out with littleneck clams or a paella instead of chorizo. Insanely good...

Littleneck clams are the shellfish of the week. And with organic fresh spinach linguini from Settantatre Pasta Co? Best cheap meal ever! Island Pearls are the oysters this week from PEI. Nice and plump.

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
