Week of July 7, 2025 - Fit/Ritt/Wash Sq Order Form

Hello everybody!!

We're baaaaaaaack!!! Hopefully, you've emptied your freezers and are ready for a new load! We are having such a fun summer with fish right now. So many local things coming our way. When I say local, I mean that ecosystem of fish that move from the Carolinas up to even Canada. These are all our local fish. Their migration route means that they won't always time out to be directly from the Jersey shore. in fact, during the summer months, they are mostly further north. But these fish are our 'local' bounty. That includes the halibut, the tuna, the skate cheeks and a bunch of other things that rotate in and out from week to week.

So, let's begin with one of the kings of the sea..tuna!!! Yellowfin tuna, to be specific. This mass is up in Canadian waters right now as they seek colder waters. Sushi grade and just gorgeous! Some of you ask me about mercury content in fish. I will quickly address that. Mercury content in fish increases with the age and size of the fish. We focus primarily on smaller tunas which are younger and will typically have much less mercury content. They portion out better for home use and tend to be more consistent in color and flavor. So there..it's all good.

Also from up in Canada, we have some halibut that we blast froze and vac packed a couple of weeks back for a week like this one. Hey, when you get a first taste of it, you definitely want more after that!  For those who want to try their hand at preparing it resto style, check out a recipe I posted on our site. Start in a pan, finish in the oven. Gamechanger...

There's a real Canada theme this week. maybe a little subconscious on my part. I am, as some of you know, originally from Canada. And Canada Day was celebrated on July 1st. So a bit of a belated happy birthday, I suppose. So, let's dish out lobster rolls!!! Fresh cooked claw and knuckle lobster meat from Nova Scotia!!! Rolls, pastas, risottos, salads..take advantage people. They season seems pretty light in volume. Not sure how long this will last..

Beautiful fresh, sushi grade Faroe Island salmon along with sushi grade Hokkaido scallops. Both best in class, by far. Compare it to anything else you can buy anywhere else. Not even close. And both come blast frozen so you can stock up..

We have butterflied branzini, skate cheeks, wild rock shrimp, wild jumbo head on shrimp and tons of other stuff!!

Smoked mackerel fillets are back! Northern European made (Scotland) and just terrific!

And how about some smoked pork/beef hot dogs from El Camino! Hot dogs and lobster rolls..Sounds like a summerfest!!!

PEI mussels are the shellfish of the week. And with organic fresh spinach linguini from Settantatre Pasta Co? Best cheap meal ever! Pink Moons are the oysters this week from PEI. Nice and plump.

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
