Week of March 30, 2026 - Fit/Ritt/Wash Sq Order Form
Hello everybody!!
First of all, to anyone we won't see this week for pick ups, we wish you a Happy Passover or a Happy Easter...or both....modern families, yeah?
I am going to roll right into this. We have fresh Steelhead trout this week! This is the cousin of salmon with a very delicate flavor and fatty texture. You cook it up just as you would for salmon. Plus it is sushi grade so it will make the finest of poke bowls. I promise...
For those who can't live without our salmon, we have blast frozen portions as wwell as blast frozen whole sides too!
Speaking of sushi grade, we have super frozen bluefin Chutoro this week! These blocks are just like the chutoro you would have in a top notch sushi resto or an omakase. Except at a fraction of the price. As long as you consume it within two weeks and thaw it out following the instructions on our website, you will be blown away...
Once agaqin, we also tried something unique from one of our Canadian suppliers up in Boston when we were at the Seafood Show a couple of weeks ago. They produce, in Nova Scotia, a small cooked cold water wild shrimp that is outstanding for making things like shrimp salads. You just thaw them out and prepare your salad. Of course, the classic is with mayo, worchestershire, mustard, dill, lemon juice and veggies of your choice like celery and carrot. But you can go a lot of ways with it. It is a very sweet and tasty shrimp. That's for sure. And for a size reference, our smaller peeled and deveined shrimp are 26 to 30 counts per pound. These totally peeled and cooked shrimp are 150 to 200 per pound. So pretty small! But that's what makes them so unique!! A perfect item for your Easter table served as a salad, over toast or in a sandwich! Or toss them into a strir fried rice at the end or soup!!
We have all the other usual suspects hanging around too!
For special items, we still have more frozen gefilte fish logs but that'll be it til September so grab what you want. Also, we have more puff pastry back in the mix.
For Easter lunches and dinners, a nice chocolate dessert would be pretty nice. So how about some frozen lava cakes from Good Good Chocolates in Queen Village! The last ones were outrageous with a raspberry filling. This time, they are using a passionfruit filling. My, Lord, are they good.
And with spring upon us, I don't know about you but I've been craving hot dogs. So Owen was kind enough to make us a batch of his famous smoked pork/beef dogs in a casing! These are more like a frankfurter so if you aren't a bun person, just grill them up and serve tem along a bit of sauerkraut. You'll be happy...Oh, and don't forget the mustard...
Tons of stuff, really. Everything to make your dreams come true...
We have PEI mussels this week. Great thing to add to Settantatre Pasta Co fresh spinach linguini. Best cheap meal ever!!.Also, Shooting Stars are the oysters this week from Virginia..... A bigger oyster than we usually get averaging around 3.5 inches wide..good stuff..and briny..
So have at it!!!
See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...You'll never need to leave the house...
And don't forget your frozen shrimp, crab meat, and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...Coddy Canes are back too..
I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
