Week of April 6, 2026 - Chestnut Hill Farmers Market Order Form
Hello everybody!!
Please remember that we still have winter hours for the market. 10a til noon....
I gotta say it is kind of nice to get through the holidays. There is a rush and frenzy and planning and preparing...all of that on top of life which is busy enough. I don't know about you but I kind of feel the relief that we are through it along with a nice lingering afteglow from gatherings with friends and family. Everybody take one big breath in through the nose and let out one big long breath out of the mouth....ahhhhhhhhh....
Good news is that fresh Faroe Island Salmon is back in the fold! It's kind of hard to live without it anymore. So good in flavor and texture and taste. The quality is superb. Plus, a fantastic source of Omega 3s which are great for the heart, the metabolism and the brain..I was just listening to a podcast this morning where they were saying that populations that eat more fish live longer and age more slowly..just saying..
Also a great source for Omega 3s is Boston mackerel fillets! We have more this week. Great stuff and so easy to cook up. Of course, you can pan fry them but you can also just pop them into a 450F oven or air fryer with salt pepper and olive oil skin side up for 12 minutes...yum!!!
We have rainbow trout butterflied. One of the best deals out there for a nice meal. Same with branzino butterflied. I am sure you've seen how much restos charge for this. Not even close...
Same for things like Chilean seabass fillets and Black Cod fillets. Even scallops are insanely priced on resto menus.
I guess what I am saying is that with tax time coming up, you can save a boatload of money buying right and preparing things at home for yourself. But you know that already, yeah? That's why you buy from us..
And for the pets of the house, we have one more addtional item we are adding to mix. Ground dehydrated cod skins. It's called "Coddiments". It comes in a spice jar and is a great thing to sprinkle on dog food or cat food for added flavor and health benefits. As an aside, it is also a great thing you can add to your flowers and herbs as a plant food. I know it sounds weird but the plant people will understand..Pretty cool, no?
Tons of stuff, really. Everything to make your dreams come true...
We have littleneck clams and PEI mussels this week. Great thing to add to your favorite pasta. Best cheap meal ever!!.Also, Shooting Stars are the oysters this week from Virginia. A bit bigger than we usually get averaging around 3.5 inches wide..good stuff..
All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...
And don't forget your frozen shrimp and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...
I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...
Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
