Week of August 10, 2026 - Bryn Mawr Farmers Market Order Form

Hello everybody!!

Are you excited yet?? I am. What a fun week of fun stuff!!! Let's roll into it!

So, the main season for soft shell crabs is, indeed, Mother's day to Memorial day. However, there is an August shed that can happen sometimes. This is that sometime. Last chance in 2026 to get some. We say this not with sadness but with celebration. One more shot then see you next year! Take a look at the Mark Bittman recipe on our site for low and slow cooking of soft shells. My favorite way to do it hands down. Grab some fresh bucatini for it too!

And swordfish from Canada is in!! Some of the nicest sword around along with the southern Brasil stuff. And no wonder. Waters get colder the more north you go in the northern hemisphere and colder more south in the southern hemisphere. Cold water sword is the best around. And take up my challenge. I always say that anything you can prepare with chicken breast, you can do with swordfish. Pan sear it, grill it, poach it, kabob it, Piccata it, marsala it, schnitzel it..seriously...

Next is a favorite of some but not all. But if you love it, you love it! Fresh Uni (sea urchin roe) from Mexico!!! Great stuff to simply eat raw and great stuff to make uni pasta. Cook up some bucatini, then pop it onto a pan with butter, chives and finish with uni. Super simple and simply delicious..

Also, with a few weeks left to summer, time to barrel toward the final gorge on lobster meat! More fresh cooked claw and knuckle lobster meat this week! Remember that the shelf life in your fridge is one week. But it can also be frozen as well.

We have more Icelandic cod cheeks this week! Tasty little discs to dredge and pan sear!!

We have a nice shot of Portuguese sardines. More whole branzini.

Butterflied branzini & rainbow trout, chilean seabass, black cod, hamachi loins and collars, a variety of shrimp. On the crab meat front, we have lump as well as claw meat. No essential blend this week..

On the specials front, we have more pork/beef hot dogs from El Camino! Great stuff. the real deal, in fact.

Also, we are trying out a new prepared frozen pasta meal. Tuna ravioli in a puttanesca sauce! All you gotta do is heat it up!

Tons of stuff, really. Everything to make your dreams come true...

We have PEI mussels and littleneck clams this week. Great thing to add to Settantatre Pasta Co fresh spinach linguini. Best cheap meal ever!!.Also, Ninigret Nectars oysters are the oysters this week from Rhode Island. nice and big...good stuff..and briny..

See what I mean?? All this good to stuff to choose from.... Life is good...

And don't forget your frozen shrimp and condiments and sauces...And dog treats for doggies...

I know, I know. Lots of words but, hey, consider the alternative...

Here is the order form. Bring a bag! Bring a bag! Bring a bag!
